Sharpening instructions for knives

The FIX knife sharpener is held in one hand. The blade of the knife to be sharpened is drawn through the open crossing rods - with light pressure - from front to back. The process can be repeated several times until the knife is sharp again. Also suitable for serrated and saw knives.

Sharpening instructions for scissors

Open the scissors, then place one of the two blades on the narrow sharpening surface of the sharpening rod. Move the scissors back and forth on the rod with light pressure. A burr will form on the inside of the scissors. Closing the scissors will remove the burr. Repeat the same process with the second scissor blade and the scissors will be sharp again.

Scythes and sickles become sharp when they are drawn through the open cross.
